Dr. Minnu R. Bhonsle has done her Doctorate in the field of Psychotherapy & Counselling and has been working in this field for several years.
She is a qualified Trainer in the Robert Carkhuff model of counselling (which is an offshoot of Carl Rogers’ Client-centered Therapy) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She conducts intensive, practical Training Programs in counselling for those in the helping profession.
She has had Advanced Training in Albert Ellis’ Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). She is a Member of the Association of REBT (U.K.) and her papers have been published in the British Journal of REBT. She conducts workshops in REBT for those having prior training in counselling skills.
She has had Advanced Training in Stress Management (Multimodal approach) conducted by the Centre for Stress Management (U.K.).
She is also a Member of the “Council of Sex Education and Parenthood International” and was given a special award for her contribution in the field of Counselling & Psychotherapy by the said Council in the year 2001.
She has been conducting various self-help workshops in Stress Management, Secrets of a Healthy Marriage, Art of Communication at the work place, Self-Help through Creative Writing etc.
She has conducted several training workshops in various national and international organizations, forums and institutes such as Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Post Graduate Department of Mathematics – Mumbai University, SNDT University, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute, Commonwealth Youth Programme, BRPL Ltd (A group company of Indian Oil) etc.
She has trained more than 2000 doctors, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychologists, social workers, teachers, HRD personnel, Management trainees (MBA students) etc in various models of counselling (Non-directive and Active-directive), through the Institute of Human Technology, India.
