I would say B2 level to teach A1, A2 and Oberstufe level to teach B1

I am planning to take up German language classes to apply for jobs in Germany. I am a little confused due to the following factors: 1. How effective is online training? 2. I consulted many institutes .each of them offer different duration of course for same certification. I want to know how many hours of classes are required on an average to do a1 certification for a beginner.

1. Online training needs lot of discipline , especially with regard to learning a language. If online training inlcudes interaction with fellow students and audio and video exercises it can be effective. Net connectivity plays a important factor and if all these factors fall in place, online training... ...more

Net connectivity plays a important factor and if all these factors fall in place, online training can be useful. Otherwise personal tutoring helps better in initial stages of learning the language. 2. If you are taking the classes as a single individual, 3o hrs duration should be sufficient for a beginner. If its a class of 3 or4, it might be better to have 40-45 hours.
