Dr. Megha Talegaonker Rao is very talented and hopeful vocal artist in the field of Hindusthani classical music. She has done PhD-MA-BA (NET qualified) in classical music. She belongs to Talegaonker’s family of, who are in this field since last 3 generations. Megha’s training started at the age of 4 under her grand-father the eminent musicologist Lt. Pt. Raghunath Talegaonker of Gwalior Gharana. She perused her advanced training from her father Pt. Keshav Talegaonker and mother Smt. Pratibha Keshav. She is well versed in Khayal and Bhajan Gayaki of Hindusthani classical music. She also sings duet classical music with her younger sister Shubhra, which is one of rare female pair in India. Since last 15 years she is spreading the fragrance of Indian classical music in various parts of world likewise in India, China, South East Asia and Europe. She is also a regular writer of articles and research papers and have contributed at prestigious places like, Sangeet Kala Vihar Miraj, ITCSRA Kolkata, FRSM – IIT Kharagpur and DEI Agra. She has also written a book on elementary level easy teachings methods for vocal on Hindusthani classical music (expected in end of 2016). She recently launched her first solo album, Madhavam Madhuram, which is getting very warm response in all parts of the world. Prior to that she was part of many albums like, Hum Tumhare Saath hain, Chand se Kehana, Nache Nandlal and Sant Sunderdas to name few.
