Online classes gives you the flexibility of time slots and comfort of your home to learn.all you need is a good net connection and a good institute which can deliver this. You can also download various ebooks for different levels to learn on your own. It is comparatively cheaper than regular classes but learning in a regular class is more effective in my opinion

Why each Excel file is called a workbook?

0 0 4

Show previous answers

Anand replied | 26 May

Real technical term is workbook, but we wrongly call it as excel file. 'excel file' doesn't make any sense but 'Workbook' makes sense that is it has basis worksheets to work on data.

0 0

Nachiketa replied | 25 Jun

Excel file is called a workbook because like pages in the book, this also contains different sheets called worksheets. A workbook should have a minimum of one sheet to save it.

Technically data in spreadsheet is physically organized as sparse array i.e. (RowNum,ColNum,Data) but the logical view is organized as we view in spreadsheet. This helps with analysis and interpretation.
