I have 36 months teaching experience as Tutor/Demonstrator post in Under Graduates Medical (M.B.B.S) course and Laboratory In-charge cum Tutor post in Post Graduate (M. Phil.-Transnational Health Science) course from two Indian Government Medical Institutions and also having 10 years research experience in a clinical microbiology and diagnostic laboratory in Different Indian Government Tertiary Care Medical Institutions/Hospitals.I had also experience in Good working knowledge of GMP's, SOP's and GLP .
Presently I am working as Tutor/Demonstrator in Dept. of Microbiology at Government Medical College, Haldwani (Nanital), Uttarakhand. I had nine months teaching experience as Tutor/Lab Incharge in M.Phil. (Translational Health Science) at C S M Medical University (earlier KGMU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. I am a microbiologist by training and worked on opportunistic pathogens. During my Ph.D. I worked on Candida spp., incidence, clinical presentation and risk factors associated with candidemia, antifungal susceptibility test (AFST) methods and molecular characterization (RAPD, RFLP, RT-PCR, PCR). I worked on various yeast spp. (Pichia spp., and Malasezia spp. etc) that plays a major role in nosocomial invasive fungal infection in critical ill patients. My major skills are in molecular characterization, molecular epidemiological studies related to hospital acquired infection and AFST methods.
In addition to the above methods, I also worked on in vivo arsenic toxicity and its role in biochemical and metabolic changes in rat model, in vitro of screening antiviral agents from medicinal plant extracts against herpes virus-2 and in vitro screening of antimicrobial medicinal plants against bacterial and fungal cultures
