Childhood is indeed the perfect age for any kind of learning to happen. Their minds are fresh and body teems with energy and enthusiasm. It is an excellent form of exercise as it includes yoga based stretching, aerobic and high-endurance movement levels. Besides the basic grammar of movement, in pure... ...more
Childhood is indeed the perfect age for any kind of learning to happen. Their minds are fresh and body teems with energy and enthusiasm. It is an excellent form of exercise as it includes yoga based stretching, aerobic and high-endurance movement levels. Besides the basic grammar of movement, in pure dance or nritta, the focus is on developing speed, strength and stamina. It offers great benefits in developing the body of a growing child eg. improves posture, strengthens the arch of the foot and fingers and eye & neck muscles. It offers many therapy benefits to handicapped children e.g. improves body balance and mind-limb coordination. You should start teaching your 5 year old Indian classical form.

I have a month of time and I am thinking of learning something apart from academics. I am interested in badminton, squash, and music. But I think 1 month would not be sufficient to learn all these. I even like dancing but I can't dance, I have completed 1st year of MBBS and I think this is the only last time I would be free. Help me in choosing any one of these.

In one month u can learn basics of any classical dance. but just the basics. Atleast you will gain idea about that form of dance. That will help you in your future.
