IdentityI always thought that it is important to learn the content of a topic, from theory to experiments and most importantly to solving numerical problems surrounded by associated interaction with other contents. However hard the level of competition is, the success always depends on and always will, on one's ability in grasping the factors around a problem and methodically isolate them to apply appropriate governing rules or equations.
I often wonder looking at my own kids or elsewhere how students are being taught with one formula for all and a perception of board etc. as a deciding factor about learning a subject matter.
I strongly believe that each student has his/her specific strength and the role of the teacher must be to collaborate and communicate with the student in a most articulate fashion to bring about the confidence in the student to do better. One's best teacher is the last mistake one has made. Once a student starts learning from the mistake in a positive way, there would be no stopping.
I wish I could get a handful of aspiring students and run the race together to prove that learning matters more than teaching.
