Calculate interest on drawings of Mr. X at 10% p.a. if he withdrawn Rs.1000 per month (i) in the beginning of each Month (ii) In the middle each of month (iii) at end of each month. Total Amount with withdrawn = Rs.1000x12=Rs12000.

For begining 12000 × 10% × 6.5 ÷ 12 = 650 For middle 12000 × 10% × 6 ÷ 12 = 600 For ending 12000 × 10% × 5.5 ÷ 12 = 550

The goodwill for the purpose is to be calculated at 2 yearâ??s purchase of the average normal profits of the last three years which were Rs.10,000, Rs.15,000 and Rs.30,000 respectively. Second years profit included profit on sale of Machinery Rs. 10,000. Find the value of goodwill of the firm on Câ??s Admission.(Average profit method)

Avg profit = Rs 10000 + Rs 15000 - Rs 10000 + Rs 30000 ÷3 = Rs 15000 Goodwill = Rs 15000 × 2 = Rs 30000 Non trading income of Rs 10000 is deducted from 2nd year profit.
