Firstly we determine no. of hybrid orbitals by this formula H=1/2(v+m-c+a) where,v-total no of valence electron on central atom,m-total no of surrounding monovalent atoms , c-charge of cation,a-charge of anion. H2O because H bonding strength depends on the electronegativity difference between H and other atom (F,O,N, etc.). Greater the electronegativity difference greater will be the strength of H bonding.

CO is isoelectronic with both NO+ and N2 because both have 14 e- which are equal to CO e-s . For isoelectronic specie we see total e-s present in specie not only valence e-s.
