Dr. Dhiren Paliwal

I have 7 years of work experience which includes teaching French language, translation and interpretation (French, English & Hindi). I have served in various capacities as French Instructor, French Teacher (international curricula: IGCSE & AP), Assistant Professor (French), Visiting Faculty (French) in various esteemed institutions at school as well as college / university levels.

As regards my introduction, I am Dr. Dhiren Paliwal from Jaipur, Rajasthan (India). I got interested in French language in the year 1991.

I studied French for seven years at school level (from grade VI to XII) and then three years in pursuing Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in French from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Thereafter I enrolled myself in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, premier university in India, for pursuing higher courses in French language wherefrom I completed my M.A. (2004) & M.Phil. (2007) in French (specialization: Translation & Interpretation). In 2013, I submitted my Ph.D. thesis in French and was awarded the degree in 2014.

French has enabled me to visit and explore France & Francophone countries and appreciate their distinctive cultures. Furthermore, it gave me a lifetime opportunity to work with the Indian Navy as their French Instructor at Port Blair in the beautiful Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India. I have also had the privilege to work as a freelance interpreter in different specialized domains with some of the great organizations, like UNESCO Office, New Delhi, in collaboration with Jaipur Virasat Foundation and the Government of Rajasthan; Department of Ayush, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs of Government of India.

My interest and passion in French language coupled with the diverse professional experience so far gained both at school and college / university levels, within and outside India, would enable me to share my expertise with people across the globe creatively, effectively and efficiently.
