Though in Raag Lalit, Shuddha Madhyam is very prominent alongwith Gandhar. The use of Shuddha Madhyam and Teevra Madhyam, one after another gives this raag a unique character. Raag Bhairavi belongs to Bhairavi Thaat which features Komal Rishabh, Komal Gandhar, Komal Dhaivat and Komal Nishad (Rest notes Shudha and its Sampoorna Raag with all 7 notes). No, it mean singer don't know the note's of Lalit. It's Taat is Marawa because the note's are Re, Dha komal and Tivra Madhyam we use.

Dear Mansoor, The first thing is in North Indian classical music we belongs Raga-Raganga system. The second thing is, if Someone say that he is going to sing lalit in bhairavi thhat then he can call that raga lalit-bhairavi or Bhairavi-lalit. He can not called that raga lalit because both raga based on different notes and chalan. It can happen by legends only. read less
