Start from class VI summer vacation booster courses which would improve his basics. The course will not only develop a foundation for IIT JEE but also will be helpful for various Olympiads and state/national/international level quizzes and exams!

Hi Harpreet, VIth class would perhaps be too soon to start foundation courses. But nevertheless it depends on the students grasping power, if he can take it well. My suggestion would be to start it in class VIII. As a parent one thing that must be taken care of is that the student doesn't get burdened...

Hi, You should start the foundation course right from Grade VIII. Many institutes are starting the foundation courses from Grade VI itself. If you are determined that he should go for IIT preps later then you should start now only. Best wishes, Gagandeep

The right time to join your niece in the IIT Foundation course is right from her 8th standard.Because,in 8th standard they will have basic subject foundation, in 10th accelerated foundation and in Intermediate Comprehensive foundation on Subjects!.
