In 2017, IIT JEE Advanced is going to be conducted by IIT Madras.
As no new exam format or altered exam pattern has yet not been announced; here is a look at the previous year’s IIT JEE Advanced exam pattern for clear understanding.
The IIT JEE Advanced exam can be taken in two formats – online (Computer Based) or offline (Pen Paper Based) mode.
The IIT JEE Advanced exam has 2 papers. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt both the papers.
This pattern of IIT JEE Advanced exam was set in 2015, when IIT Guwahati conducted the IIT JEE Advanced exam.
The date of IIT JEE Advanced exam is 21st May, 2017 (Sunday).

Noteworthy points about IIT JEE Advanced Exam:
a) There is negative marking for some questions of IIT JEE Advanced exam.
b) Questions come from each segment : Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
c) Since 2016, Optical Response Sheet is provided for JEE Advanced exam. Applicants are given a two-page ORS of same layout. The first page of the ORS is machine readable and is designed leave impressions of the responses based on the first one.
d) Students are suggested to use a black ball pen to fill or shade the bubbles of IIT JEE Advanced ORS answer script.
e) The second page of the ORS sheet is handed over to examinees by the invigilator at the end of the IIT JEE Advanced examination.
