A 5.5 IELTS score would not be considered a good score by most universities. Thanks.

It's not too bad, but you will not get admissions in "A" Rated universities and you will also loose opportunities to secure scholarship. Anything above 6 score is recommended. One of our student recently scored 8 in all modules.

Hi, Most universities prefer an overall band score of 6 and above, which means that your individual score also needs to be above 5.5. With that being said, some Universities do allow an individual score of 5.5. It is not a bad score but your entry to reputed universities might get limited.

It won't help you in admission.

Hi Aditya, MIT doesn't accept IELTS score for the undergraduate admissions, but for graduate and doctorate courses IELTS is considered. IELTS band 7.5 would be considered a good score. Thanks.
