Essential features of Communication skills are. 1) Articulatioin: First of all you have to articulate the content you want to communicate in such a way that audience get engaged and it builds interest.
Than use your Body and Voice as the tools to communicate. In body language there are three important areas one is facial expressions 2) Gestures(Hand movements) and Third one is Lines.
Voice has 6 qualities you should maintain this voice quality to communicate properly. 1)Pitch, 2) Pace, 3) Pause , 4) Audibility 5) Understandability and 6) Clarity.
Apart from above features one more important thing is Psychological gestures. You can communicate with Mind also. Because your face is the index of your mind. your confidence will get reflected in your face, body and voice.
After all these.. You need to assess the topic, with proper data and use good language mechanics. With all these feautres you can make your communication effective.
