Increase in cross section decreases the resistance of the pin itself. So when there is fluctuation in supply , it can be easily grounded . Resistance = rho * length / cross section rho is a constant called specific resistance

NO. This is basic difference between a refrigerator and an air conditioner. The food kept in fridge gets cooled because refrigerating fluids in the system takes away its thermal energy ( temperature ) and dumps that energy into atmosphere ( i.e., The kitchen ) . NO. This is basic difference between a refrigerator and an air conditioner. The food kept in fridge gets cooled because refrigerating fluids in the system takes away its thermal energy ( temperature ) and dumps that energy into atmosphere ( i.e., The kitchen ) . So if you open the fridge door one part of the fridge cools the room and the other heats up ( more than cooling effect ) . Where as in AC we have that heat dumping out of the room , that makes room cooled . So if if you open the fridge door your current bill increases ,making you to lose your cool ;-)

solid carbon di oxide is called dry ice because it resembles ice . One should be careful hile hanling dry ice because its brittle and sharp edged so we may get cuts .
