But if your family members are illiterate, first make them start with the VERY BASICS OF ENGLISH WITH GRAMMAR if they can understand in your mother tongue language. Then go with the 1st attempt.

Besides, listen to English news, watch English movies with subtitles, read Novels, articles, newspapers(online) in English. In this process, you have to understand the vocabulary, way of expressing in different situations, terminology with the help of the dictionary.

Finally, select any one topic and converse with your family members with limited time words and sentences. Then within a few weeks or months, your whole family will be well-versed in English Communication.
