Overview

A dynamic and result oriented teacher committed to inculcating a passion for learning English as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language.

I have taught to hundreds of students from across south India whose respective regional languages being spoken as their first language and with a diverse cultural inheritance. This has helped me understand the unspoken essentials of the language learners and help them acquire English as their second language with ease and confidence.
Apart from connecting with students on a one to one basis, I am experienced in designing and delivering Train the Trainer program for group of teachers empowering them with the structured approach to teaching English as a Second language to young learners.

In addition, I am a course architect with a clear insight in developing and implementing creative, hands on curriculum that reaches every students learning style and ability, enabling students to succeed and realize their individual goals.

Also, I have to my credit, an International Advanced Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) with specialization in teaching business English from the American TESOL Institute.

Hello Shemy, There are multiple factors that affect English Language Acquisition. As an SME of Cognitive Psychology, the key factor that affects English language acquisition is the cognitive learning styles and strategies. Let me explain you the process of cognition and its relation to language acquisition. Cognition simply means â??Using thinking to learnâ??. Unlike individual differences in abilities, cognition describes a person's typical mode of thinking, perceiving, remembering, or problem solving. Cognitive style is usually described as a personality dimension which influences attitudes, values, and social interaction. Simply put, Cognitive Teaching: â??Cognitive teaching is the art and science of configuring human brain with the elements of a language in the manner with which the learnerâ??s brain perceives itâ??. Cognitive Learning: â??Cognitive learning is the art and science of perceiving and acquiring a language in a manner the learnerâ??s mind demands itâ??. My recommendation to you will be: 1. Do a self-analysis and Identify where you fail in your communication. Example: a. Am I a good listener? b. Am I pronouncing words correctly? c. Is my word ordering sequenced in a meaningful way? d. Do I make an effort to formulate my answers before spelling it out? e. Do I have a pre-conceived notion while listening to the speaker? f. Do I validate the relevance of answers to questions? g. Do I pause and speak? h. Does my vocabulary fit to the context of talk? 2. Define your expectation on what you wish to learn and how you wish to learn? Example: First, I wish to focus on learning essential English grammar. Next, I should focus on developing my listening and comprehending skills. Finally, I should focus on improving my diction and pronunciation. Wishing you success!!!

"How to overcome interview fear I get tensed and nervous in interview and start stammering?" in   Language/Spoken English, Life Skills Coaching/Soft Skills Training/Personal Effectiveness Training

Hello Fahad, It is natural that candidates (both campus out and experienced at times) fear interviews and the various processes associated with it. Most of us get very conscious and nervous when we have to appear for a personal interview. Emotions along with the underlying fear completely hamper your body language. They make you sweat and straighten your curls (curly hair) while you are appearing for an interview. My recommendation to you is: 1. Identify the reasons for fear of interviews 2. Eliminate the causes of fear in interviews Identify the Reasons for Fear of Interviews: The fears need to be dealt early so that these gestures (signs) do not become a habit. For this, it is essential that you understand what exactly causes the fear of job interviews. Fear for job interviews could be cause of: 1. Lack of preparation 2. Fear of not getting the job 3. Fear of facing an interviewer 4. Lack of confidence in on-self 5. History of previous jobs Eliminate the Causes of Fear in Interviews: Once you eliminate the causes of fear in an interview, you are sure to bag the job easily. Here are some suggestions that will help you eliminate the fear from its root. 1. Go fully prepared 2. This is not the last job opportunity 3. Meet the interviewer eye-in-eye 4. Pride over your success 5. Stay motivated 6. Dress perfectly 7. Schedule the plan for the day beforehand 8. You need to plan at least a day in advance the activities for the day of the interview. Plan the various activities of the day like: a. When you will wake up? b. How you will travel to the location? c. What all you will carry along with you? Success Quote: “Your positive action, combined with positive thinking results in success.” – Shiv Khera Cheer up..! Wishing you all success in your life..!! On getting a job of your choice, remember to “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”
