What is best way for a beginner to start learning Guitar

0 0

Roxy replied | 14 May

just like in any outdoor sport it is very important to be a good athlete first of all.. rules and techniques can be learnt later.. in terms of playing a guitar too, it is imperative to be able to move up and down and all over the fingerboard with comfort and fluency.. if a learner can acquire that ability with enough efficiency, then rest of the learning(any particular genre) can be a lot of fun..

Prctice min. 2hrs perday. Prctice basic cromatic exercise and scale in different shapes. But the only best way is to keep practicing.

Is it necessary to start with acoustic guitar before one switches to electric one? I have had no prior experience with any musical instrument but I am keen on learning. Please help.

Himanshu replied | 23 Apr

No, Actually both are similar in basic way.
What matters is what genre you prefer to play after basics , can be rock on electric or folk on acoustic There's a lot to explore . If you have low budget then start learning with acoustic and afterwards learn new styles on electric.

The age old saying "Nothing in life worth having comes easy" holds good for guitar as well. So I am regretful to tell you that there's no easy way out to learn guitar. Well, having said that, the learning process can get a lot easier and effective if you learn it the right way.

Any Musical instrument tutor must have synchrinised knowledge of Theoratical knowledge as well as techical excellence of that instrument. Every instrument has its origin and its own way of playing it. Guitar is spanish musical instrument so the best way to teach guiatar is to teach it from the very basics and gradually moving towards the challenging exercises. Ultimately teaching the blues and chords side by side and then if the instructor is innovative, then he or she can teach instrument as in Indian classical way. Playing bollywood songs on guitar is not so good to teach students what are the root aesthetics of the instrument. I wish I have answered your question.. «less

Choose the type of guitar you are excited about playing. The easiest guitar to play is the type you are most interested in learning. Electric guitars are physically somewhat easier to play. Acoustic guitars have heavier gauge strings which require slightly firmer picking and fingering.
