Ajay Kumar

Dr. Ajay Kumar (B.1963) is presently Director of BLS Institute of Technology Management, affiliated to GGSIP University, New Delhi. He started his academic career in 1997 as Assistant Professor in BLS Institute of Management, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P. He worked as Assistant Professor, Professor, Deputy Director, Registrar & Director at BLSIM before joining Sriram Group of Institutions, Greater Noda in 2008 as Director. In 2010, Dr. Ajay joined BLS Institute of Technology Management, Bahadurgarh, Haryana as Director. The Institute offers MBA, BBA, BBA(B&I), BBA(T&TM), MCA, BCA, BJ(MC), B.Ed. and B.A.LLB programs approved by AICTE, BCI, NCTE and accredited to NAAC. The courses are affiliated to GGSIP University, New Delhi. His areas of interest are in Marketing Management, Sales & Distribution Management, Brand Management, Strategic Management, Consumer Behavior and Business Communication. Dr. Ajay has authored two Books one on Brand Management and another on Consumer Behavior and marketing Communication. Dr. Ajay is credited with conceptualizing and designing several courses in management, commerce, mass communication and retail management. .

MBA in 1987 from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India with Distinction in Marketing area.

Conducted Management Development Programs in sales, marketing and strategic management areas from 1988 onwards to executives in Private and Public sector companies like BCCI, CCL, Indo-Asahi, Rotary Club, Uptron Centers, Moon Drugs Ltd., Hotel Industries, among others.

Worked as Consultant for the setting up of two medium sized Hotels in Nepal, one Nursing Home in Nepal & one Pharmaceutical Company in Jharkhand. Retained as Marketing Consultant for three pharmaceutical companies for planning and implementation of the Marketing Strategies at the entry level for their product lines in Bihar, Nepal, Jharkhand, Orissa & North Eastern States.

Worked in Ceramic Industry for 2 years as Sales and Production Coordinator. Responsible for various sales events; designing of the product and market analysis.

Qualified JRF-NET (University Grants Commission, New Delhi) for the award of Research Fellowship in Market Area

Worked as Senior Research Fellow in Patna University, Patna

Ph.D. (Strategic Marketing in a Competitive Market: A case study of Some Computer Companies”)

The Ph.D. Thesis was recommended for publication by the Expert Committee

Have authored books on Brand management and Consumer Behavior & Marketing Communication.
