The objective of the Centre for Media, Entertainment and Communication (CMEC), Ganpat University is to prepare focused manpower for the Media, Entertainment and Advertising Industry and provide students with the capability to apply practical and theoretical knowledge across key business disciplines to relevant issues in the fast-changing Media, Entertainment and Advertising industry. The CMEC department is powered by a huge support from the Industry experts and it has the contemporary courses matching with the need of the industry.

We offer two Programs:
1. MBA – Media and Entertainment Management:
Course Objective:
•To make the students understand about the fundamentals of all forms of media vehicles: online (cyber), on air (radio, television, digital film), offline (printed media), and on ground (events and experiential marketing) with learning of all functions of communication in various forms (educate, inform, entertain, persuade, interact, engage and empower).
•To make the students understand about the basics of management, marketing, HR, and their applications in the context of Media and Entertainment management.
•To promote entrepreneurship in the area of media industry and its ancillaries.

2. MBA – Integrated Marketing Communication (Advertising & Promotion):

Course Objective:

•To understand the reasons for increasing importance of IMC in planning and executing the adverting and promotional programmes.
•To study the various elements of promotional mix, their usage and their roles in IMC programme.
•To promote entrepreneurship in the area of advertising and its relevant industries.

Employment opportunities :

The students may seek employment with Advertising Agencies, Media firms, Media Booking agents, Promotional companies, Public relations firms and any company having a separate post for branding and advertising. With specific roles may include Client Service executive / manager, Copy Writer, Media Executive / Manager, Brand Manager and likewise.
