Anybody who is trying to learn music should break it down the process into technique, theory and musicality. Technique is instrument specific and it deals with right posture and ease in playing that instrument. I have been teaching the right technique to play guitar and students with patience have find such classes groundbreaking. Music Theory is applicable to all instruments and it's foundation lies in Physics. It's not rocket science though if start from a musical note. But students who have dealt with Physics also find it revolutionary. Musicality can't be taught but seeing good musicians which are not ver famous helps. That kind of information gets automatically transferred to students during classes. Music is not only for entertainment, it has intellectual and spiritual aspects to it too.
