Water has angular or bent 'V' shape due to repulsion between 2 bond pairs and 2 lone pairs which make bond angle approximately 104.5degreee from ideal tetrahedral arrangment which is 109.27 degree.Whereas Ammonia has bond angle 107.5 Degree due to repulsion between one lone pair and three bond pairs its shape is like a pyramide.
