Overview

I am a professional specializing in Western Classical Vocal performance, vocal coaching and piano. I am certified from Trinity College of London as an advance performer in Singing and also certified in Music Theory.

Being a soloist I have enjoyed performing with different choirs, singing pieces by composers like Handel, Mozart, Schubert and Bach. I have performed in the Verdi Gala concert organized by the Italian Embassy and in a German Lieder concert.

I was formerly a western vocal coach with the Delhi School of Music (DSM), Chankyapuri, Delhi.

I have also organized and trained choirs at school, college and Church level. Of particular highlight was directing the famous Madras Christian College Choir, Chennai.

I have conceptualized and sung in the album ‘Lift Thine Eyes’.

I believes that my life’s purpose is to bring meaning and life through music and help make a difference, one person at a time.

I have been guiding professionals and hobby learners and kids in western Classical and contemporary vocals of varied ages and proficiency. I have trained students for Grade exams both in Trinity and ABRSM. Most of them have secured distinction even in higher grades. Being a professional myself gives me a distinct edge to train my students to have an advantage on stage and off stage. It has always been my joy to help anyone on their musical journey to become the best they can become and learn to express themselves authentically.

I started playing piano since my early school years. Since then i have played at varied avenues. I have accompanied various choirs and Vocalist with different expertise. It is always a joy for me to play the piano as a authentic means of self-expression. I also enjoy helping others who have interest in learning piano as a means to enjoy life by authentic self-expression. We do our classes on a yamaha upright piano at our home studio. Thanks!

Vocal Music

"My daughter ( 13 yrs) has been taking vocal classes from MuzicEdu for sometime now. She loved loved music ever since she was a baby but we could never find someone who could bring out the joy of music in her. For most of the teachers, it was about preparing for grade exams only without any fun in learning. However, Serene understands kids and the way she chooses songs to teach is impressive. It is as if she knows what a child of a particular age would like. My daughter's knowledge of music theory has also improved greatly. Parents know how difficult it is to get our kids to practice. Singing Classes

"She is a great teacher,without question.For me,I can really feel my voice growing and developing.Besides,singing with her is super fun.The room has this peaceful positive vibe,which supports your learning process.On the top of that you get to be a bit flexible and choosy with some of the stuff you find a bit hard to digest.There's fun and love over learning.
