IdentityBorn in a family with Sampradaya Bhajan background, I started learning Hindustani music at the age of 7. My formal Carnatic training commenced at the age of 13 and continues till now under the tutelage of various Gurus like Dr. Shantha Nagarajan (Delhi) and Sh. B. Vaidyanathan (Hyderabad). In 2008, I was awarded a scholarship for advanced learning in Carnatic Classical Music from the Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The group Sruthilayam, led by me, won the runners-up title in Bhajan Samrat Seniors Season-4, conducted by Sri Sankara TV.
I have been teaching Carnatic music for the past 7 years now. Gokulam, a group comprising of my students participated in Bhajan Samrat Juniors-2 and reached the quarterfinals of the same. A dedicated teacher, I expect the same level of commitment from my students as well.
