IdentityI have dedicated the past ten years to the enchanting world of dance. With a Master's degree in Kathak from Prayag University and a diploma in Kathak from Sangeet Natak Academy, I have immersed myself in the rich traditions of this classical Indian dance form. Along the way, I have been fortunate to receive a scholarship and be recognized as a Graded Artist by Doordarshan.
My ultimate goal is to spread the essence of pure classical dance and contribute to its flourishing presence in the world. My journey began fifteen years ago when I embarked on the Guru-Shishya Parampara, a sacred tradition of learning from a master. For five years, I had the privilege of assisting my Guru in teaching Kathak to others, passing on the knowledge and artistry I had acquired. I continued to expand my horizons by joining the esteemed Jindal Art Institute, where I taught Kathak for a year.
I offer individual sessions to students offline and online, sharing my expertise in Kathak. My teaching approach revolves around rhythm-based instruction, providing fourteen hours of practical classes to lay a strong foundation in the art. I believe in guiding my students to excel in examinations and obtain certifications, empowering them to showcase their skills confidently.
To reach a wider audience and ignite a passion for classical dance, I created my YouTube channel, "Era Dogra Kathak." Through this platform, I share instructional videos and captivating performances, inspiring viewers to embrace the beauty and grace of Kathak.
My dedication and commitment have not gone unnoticed, as I have been honored with the Sahitya Kala Parishad scholarship and awarded the Nrittya Jyothi by the Odisha government. Every step of my journey has been driven by a deep love for Kathak and a desire to preserve its rich heritage. I strive to be a beacon of inspiration for aspiring dancers, nurturing their talents and guiding them toward excellence.
