I am a Mechanical engineer with over 7 yrs of experience with some of the prestigious companies like Escorts Agrimachinary, Tata telecom and Minda Group. I completed my B. Tech with first division and after working for 7 yrs I decided to further my qualification. I am Pershing LLB from the prestigious Campus Law Centre of DU. Teaching is not only my hobby but passion as I love change the perspective of students towards learning by showing them the practical application of what they learn. Yes you heard it right Pythagoras just came up with the concept in terms of mathematics but it was a original idea used by the Egyptians 2500 years ago to build their pyramids and the same concept was used to build some of the masterpiece temples of south India. Yes you heard it right Pythagoras just came up with the concept in terms of mathematics but it was a original idea used by the Egyptians 2500 years ago to build their pyramids and the same concept was used to build some of the masterpiece temples of south India. The concept is simple, for a triangle with one angle equal to 90° if you add square of smallest side to square of medium side you will get square of longest side i.e. base^{2} + perpendicular^{2} = hypotenuse^{2} And it's not only a maths formulae to just mug up it's the most practically applicable formulae eg: 1. In advertisements the the size of tv shown is actually the length of diagonal of its screen and to check it's real size as per your tv cabinet at home just apply Pythagorean principle to your tv cabinet and calculate it's diagonal size and voila you will know if your tv is going to fit in that cabinet or not. 2. Painters use the same concept to place their ladder at safe position while painting a wall. 3. The suspension bridges (eg. The ones you see with wires support) use this concept. There are a thousand examples where Pythagorean principle is used all you need is a practical mathematical sense. Take care and keep learning.
