What are the best concentration Techniques ?
Hello Siva,
Best technique for faster concentration is Pranakarshan Kriya (Deep breathing with focussed mind)
1. Sit in Vajraasan/Sukhasan.
2. Close your eyes.
3. Observe your breath for 1 min.
4. Take a deep inhalation and a prolonged exhalation.Try to keep the duration of exhalation longer than that of inhalation [Method - Inhalation on 1 to 4 count & Exhalation on 5 to 12 count]
5. Repeat the cycles of breath for 5 to 10 mins
Kindly try this technique and share your experience.
read lessHi.. if you are a beginner then you should practice breathing practice with total awarenesses.. take a slow and deep inhale and slowly exhale repaet it 21 times and it will calm down everything in you.. always try to feel your breath.. try to feel every portion of your body where the air touch you (nostrils, nose, throat, expansion & contraction of lungs/stomach) while inhale and exhale.. slow and gradually a journey to your innerself will start.. stay aware for every inhale & exhale.. For this keep yourself at isolate & calm place with a light music so that it keeps you unaffected from external disturbance..

I find Anapansati the best- watching the breath like Gautam Budhha and other Upanishad rishis. It is initially tough to watch it as mind rides the waves of thought but after 18-20 months, you truly settle into it. You perfectly align your watching as per natural rhythm of breath so, no need to inhale or exhale deeply into it.
If you can persevere for long and do so, it will be a miracle cause whether you are walking, eating, swimming you are always in sync with your breath. You are just pure yourself- unperturbed.
You can also go for Traatak in evening (use earthern Diya with ghee rather than candles). It will not only increase your focus but will also cleanse your eyes and gives a radiance on your face as well.
There are many techniques but I advise my students to begin with breathing because it is closest to us 24×7 and we are nothing but a rhythm of breath. Thats why whenever you feel lost, angry or full of passion/lust..your breathing is haphazard i.e. you are not yourself.
Namaste and Om Shanti
