Section 11.2 – In this section, you will learn all about squares and rectangles- perimeter and area. You will also learn the connection between triangles and rectangles. In this section, you will learn to derive the formula to find the area of a triangle using the area of a parallelogram.

Section 11.6 – This section deals with the conversion of units. In this section, you will learn to convert different units of measurement. You will learn to convert meters to centimetres, grams to kilograms and meters to kilometres. In this section, you will learn to convert the units into the required format for further calculation.
Section 11.7 – In this section, you will learn the practical application of the concept of perimeter and area. You will learn the importance of finding the perimeter and area of any plane figure in practical life. Besides, you will also solve problems related to perimeter and area such as- area of a rectangular park, the cost to paint a rectangular wall etc; all these problems need the practical application of perimeter and area calculation.
