For example, leaves of some plants like, spinach, coriander, roots of carrot and radish plants, fruits of tomato and cucumber plants, and so on and so forth.

Section 1.4 – This section deals with parts of plants that we eat, for example, leaves and fruits, and in some cases like the mustard plant, even seeds are used for making oil that is further used to cook food. Section 1.5 – This section tells students about the foods that animals eat and how they are categorised as herbivores, carnivores and omnivores as per their food consumption. Animals that eat only plants or plants products are termed as herbivores (cow, camel, giraffe, goat), those which eat other animals are called carnivores (cat, dog, lion, etc.), and lastly, those which eat both plants and animals are called omnivores (pigs, bears, rats).
