About the Course
This module is suitable for those who want to get familiarized with the making and working of fondant/sugar paste and gum paste. Thereafter, you will move ahead with cake decorations - flowers, figurines etc, along with covering the cake with fondant. Though both handcrafted and tools are used we specifically lay emphasis on hand crafted. Once you are confident, you can experiment with flavors, designs and decide in undertaking advance level sugar craft course.

Basics of gum paste & fondant, most importantly how to change consistency for various things
Cake covering techniques using fondant
Techniques – 3D animal figurines up to 6 varieties
Techniques – flowers varieties, bows, borders and other filler decorations, specifically how to make big rose without using any cutter.
Texturing, colouring & dusting
Assembling & positioning them on cakes
Storage and packaging
Most Important: How to develop your own theme cakes
The fondant/sugar craft class is a 2 day class starting at 10:00 a.m. and finishes around 5.00 p.m. Everything is explained to you step by step so there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The class is held in a small group so you get one on one attention.
Everybody will be provided with the necessary equipment and ingredients to work with. At the end of the class you get to take home your designed cake.
