SIVAN FINE ARTS ACADEMY

There is a strong demand for an academic Institution to teach and train children and adults in the art of music and other performing arts on organized lines so that the aspiring and capable amongst them can become sound practitioners of the same. Those who want to lean the arts for their personal interest can also benefit from such a set up.

This is the objective of our academy which is named after Sri.Papanasam sivan. As you are all aware, Sri. Sivan wrote thousands of Tamil and Sankrit Keerthanams and Varnams.His compositions have become so popular that they are sung regularly in all concerts. He was the author of many operas for Bharathanatyam which have been adopted by renowned institutions like Kalakshetra. It is no wonder that he is called “Tamil Thyagayya” for his bhakthi and bhavaladen musical compositions. It will therefore be the aim of this Institution to work for the cause of music and thereby live upto his name and remain a fitting memorial to this saintly composer.
