Offsprings produced by asexual reproduction are referred to as clones. Why?

Morphologically and genetically identical individual are referred as clones. In asexual reproduction, there is no fusion fusion between male and the female gamete. As a result the offspring produced by them are genetically and morphologically identical to the parent.
