"I feel lucky and grateful to find a music teacher like Muthukumar Anil Sir. I am from Hyderabad and I take Online (Skype) piano/keyboard classes with Muthukumar Anil Sir. Before I met him, I have attended several music institutes in Hyderabad including Musee Musicals, which claims to have well trained music teachers. In ten years of 'on and off' keyboards/piano classes, I could never find a mentor like Muthukumar Sir. He is beyond a common music tutor. He has a higher and deeper understanding of music, which makes me enjoy the process of learning music under his mentor-ship. The hourly sessions with him, leaves you with the confidence of becoming a very good musician and fulfillment . He delivers TEN Times of value for what you pay for his classes. "In a day how many hour of Practice can be really productive, some theory says 3hrs per day etc... kindly clarify..." in   Music/Instrumental Music

Hi Nicolas, To be really productive and become a good performer, you need 2 hours of DEDICATED practice a day. This should be followed regularly everyday. If you follow this, in 4 to 5 years you can become a Pro. Well... that was strictly speaking. But, if you are just learning as a hobby, minimum of half an hour a day is necessary. If you continue this way regularly everyday, in 6 months you will become a decent average player. Other than this, professional performers and players practice 6 hours a day on an average. But am not really sure whether heavy practice like this can be productive. In my learning and teaching experience, 2 hours a day is good.

To know about the guitar and to start playing each note clearly, it takes about 1 to 2 months. To learn the basics of guitar to read and play note and chords takes about 6 months. Basically, in about 6 months you will know your way around the guitar. To take it to the next level depends on the students efficiency and interests.
