TOGAF is all about learning on own or practicing it. People get certified just to ensure that they understand the concepts breadth wise. But there are people who are part of EA community in their organization or work as consultant to clients and master EA through work. EA role needs presence at client site and working with CxO or one/two level down execs. TOGAF is loaded with concepts. Better, learn on your own and get certified if possibe.
