So, DevOps requires a lot of technical knowledge and experience and to become a DevOps engineer, you should have hands-on on a variety of technologies viz. Java, Python, Hadoop, SQL, PLSQL, WebServices, NoSQL, deployment tools, Version control tools, etc. Wise decision would be to start with Hadoop and explore the opportunities in Big Data..... I suggest you to choose Hadoop. If you are comfortable in java programming, go for HDFS and map-reduce. Choose pig/hive if u r comfortable in batabase like Oracle/MySQL etc. In addition, you can can learn spark.
