"My experience with Basil on DEVOPS/AWS training was excellent. I found him one of the best DEVOPS/AWS trainer. In his training he started from basic to advance level. His way of teaching and delivering knowledge is very easy and anyone could understand him easily. He has huge practical industry level experience and knowledge in DEVOPS/AWS/LINUX. I would recommend anyone whoever wants to change a job or looking for a training in DEVOPS/AWS/LINUX field to start a training with Basil. Thanks. "

You should take training first, so you will understand few things about DevOps. When you set out to learn something new (especially DevOps), its safe to LEARN FIRST, then make your judgements on ways to finding a Job.

Yes, AWS is a good place to start with if you already have IT experience. But with your 4 years of ITES services, also explore new fields like DevOps and/or BigData. DevOps is best fit for you as you have the opportunity to use your past experience efficiently here. Also the market is very good and growing for DevOps and its an interesting job to work in. Hadoop and BigData are also pretty good fields you can look into, which could match/beat DevOps in terms of the market requirements in near future. But still I prefer DevOps and AWS for you, because of your 4 years of experience in ITES.

Hi Amir, If you have 5 years of experience in SAN, you also would have good skills on networking, storage etc which is the basics to Cloud Computing. Do not look for any specific field in cloud (I doubt if you get that chance either), but instead start exploring cloud computing and/or AWS which will give you a good start. Have a good understanding in Cloud computing model and all the general services. If required, take AWS certificate and try to work on some real time use cases. Yes your 5 years experience is valid for Cloud Computing role and companies will consider that as relevant experience. But the job opportunities to work close with storage technologies would not be so easy unless you're working on setting up your own cloud (some companies does that). My suggestion would be: - Learn Linux and AWS and look for a job in cloud side. - Stabilize there, learn basic services/solutions, then explore more (DevOps, Agile Practices etc). Salary for Cloud engineers with 5 years experience generally varies from Rs. 14 L to Rs. 20 L.

You could also consider Cloud Computing with AWS and DevOps if you already have some system/Linux basic background. Very good if you're kind of keen to learn person and like to work in a challenging environment.
