I have over 12 years of Industry experience in IT, mainly working for financial services and Insurance customers. I have had some experience in training in house in my company for fresher's joining the company and also having done numerous induction for joiners in my team. My experience as an investor is over 13 years and for past 3 years I am mainly into active markets and training

My interests are to share/provide exposure to aspirants as below, based on my experience & learning in these years, & I don't stick to monotonous method and have a curriculum developed by me.

1. Orientation to IT careers (for job aspirants in IT industry for IT/MBA students )
2. Orientation to basic management (For juniors just stepping into lead positions )
3. Orientation for beginners in Stock investment with demos and some handholding/ Basic or a bit advanced elaboration will be based on individual interests.

Main motivation to formally offer this service has been from my experience of explaining above concepts at individual and groups whose positive feedback and encouragement makes me believe that it is helpful for other down to ground people like me.

With due respect for all analysts & the hard earned abilities..., for investing one need not "learn" complicated analysis, however should learn basics enough to make sense of what can work or cannot work... With several years here, I know even acclaimed analysts have gone wrong for many reasons ... So... ...more
With due respect for all analysts & the hard earned abilities..., for investing one need not "learn" complicated analysis, however should learn basics enough to make sense of what can work or cannot work... With several years here, I know even acclaimed analysts have gone wrong for many reasons ... So Vikas, 1) If your intention is to 'master' how to analyse (fundamental or technical), Suggest please do a course & learn/practice same. There are many who offer such courses. 2) If your intention is to be an investor, be confident & learn some basics just enough to start off, track & manage investments. Just don't do it blindly, but can seek guidance which is offered by many. I am sure you can then learn in long journey of investing. Am sure most drivers of vehicles don't know how overall vehicle parts function, but they know how to control using steering, brakes & accelerator & of course importance of 'fuel' & 'maintenance'. Hope I am not too easy in giving this analogy to 'being an investor', but its almost same.

Hello, I think going by usual curriculum in colleges, you would have learnt C, C++ or Java. Although you will only know what exactly is required in your new job, you can revise your C++ and Java, explore networking related modules in Java etc if its pure telecom project. Else doesnt matter , need to... ...more

Although you will only know what exactly is required in your new job, you can revise your C++ and Java, explore networking related modules in Java etc if its pure telecom project. Else doesnt matter , need to know...revise languages and databases, even your SDLC which will help to settle in the new environment quicker. Once you join ofcourse most companies have induction where they orient newcomers to the projects, else no harm in being proactive and ask your Lead or senior colleagues what to learn so you can start 'working' in teams faster.
