What will print out? main() { char *p1=?name?; char *p2; p2=(char*)malloc(20); memset (p2, 0, 20); while(*p2++... ...more
What will print out? main() { char *p1=?name?; char *p2; p2=(char*)malloc(20); memset (p2, 0, 20); while(*p2++ = *p1++); printf(?%sn?,p2); }

Copying will happen but pointer will increment and point at the end, so will not print anything as you have already hit at the end.

How do you print an address?

By using address of operator (&). Suppose say you have a variable by name var1, you can print it's address by using &var1. Since, addresses will not be negative, please do not use %d as the format specifier. Instead use %u or %x.

What is the difference between compile time error and run time error?

Suppose say you are working on Linux and use are using gcc to compile. Whatever error you get when you execute gcc Sample.c, they are compile time errors. Whatever error you get when you execute ./a.out, they are run time errors.

What is the use of semicolon at the end of every statement?

In languages such as C and Perl, semicolon is needed to end / terminate a statement (that is how the syntax is) unlike language such as Python.

How are portions of a program disabled in demo versions?

There are various ways. 1. By commenting 2. By putting the code withinn functions and not calling the functions 3. By putting the code within if (0) 4. Better would be by using preprocessor directives such as #if or #ifdef
