What is other viable alternative to Amazon Web Services?

As per the recent Gartner Magic quadrant, in public cloud category, AWS has clearly emerged as "Leader" ( May 19, 2015 ), and the only other company which appears in "Leader" quadrant is Microsoft. Other companies like Google, CenturyLink, VMware, IBM, still appear in 'Visionaries" quadrant..

Can VPS software be installed in Amazon web services?

It depends on what platform you have used to develop the software. You just need to check its compatibility with its SDK and APIs..

Answer depends on whether you are evaluating AWS as a customer / user to move your infra to cloud or AWS as a career path... Will provide more inputs based on that.. In generic terms, AWS has more pros than cons..
