Teaching Experience in detail in Vocal Music classes

Currently train the St. Marks Junior Choir for Service and Festival Music, and have initiated the process to have them record a choral album. Ive also assisted the previous Choir Director in teaching the Cathedral Choir, for concert and service music. At various times, Ive been requested to teach the choir on behalf of the conductor. Ive also assisted in training the Rhapsody Bangalore Choir, in four part SATB singing, for various events and programmes. Im well versed with sight reading sheet music, and sight singing parts from classical genres to contemporary songs, and train choiristers in singing parts. Further to this, I accompany vocal aspirants taking up grade exams with Trinity, and am familiar with the requirements of the syllabus.

1) Start with the basics. The more you are sure of what you do, the less you will feel nervous. 2) Most performers have had stage fright at some point in their lives, so this is natural. Practice more, perform more to smaller audiences, informal groups, and when you get comfortable, up the challenge. 3)... ...more

Many performers have been introverts, and have found their comfort zone on stage, in the studio, etc., which you could relate to with little research on those topics. To your last question: Where do you start? Sign-up for classes and sing in front of students, and at the programs hosted by the school, which are a platform to get over many such fears and anxieties. At the end of the day, music is a social skill, and you will find your next step from there.

A lot of working professionals have learnt many musical instruments. You should be able to learn drums as well, provided you put in the effort. Most professional musicians also hold day jobs. So work and music really go both ways.
