The question is extensive. In a sense, what skills are you looking to develop? If these are tech skills, then you could attend, courses for the same.

Else if these are innate & behavioural skills, then you need to be sure on what you want to build on.

A lot of assessments/resources are available online to assess your strengths and talents. COrrelare them to your decision making in terms of career, courses you have pursued so far and the general feedback you have received from your peer/group as to how good you have been or what an expert you have been.

It will not be a one day plan, this will take time as you will have to be aware of yourself first and thats the longest and hardest aspect.

Now with information available about your skills/talents /innate abilities, you can now, plan on what would you like to achieve in life/career/spiritually etc. and understand how you can use your top skills/ talents towards them. 

Start the execution; it could be small steps but begin somewhere to reach the destination. Practice begins here. Be consistent, master your core skills/talents, use them to your advantage.

I unable to speak English, and it is the main hurdle in my professional growth. My work depends on English communication. How can I improve? I want to talk with people in English so that I could improve my communication. I need your valuable guidance.

The one fact that I know for sure as a trainer is that, Communication is not only about being able to speak English, even when you go up the ladder. Communication is being able to articulate your ideas in simple words that the audience readily receives them. English is a language that many feel is a block to their growth and mastering English becomes a task. It causes a lack of confidence. As long as you can frame your sentences without grammatical error and can communicate verbally and in written format, you do not have to worry much.

The key to proper usage of English is to be able to think in English. When someone asks you in English, take a minute to think in English and then attempt to speak. Let your mind and tongue work in sequence.

Reading English literature, watching English movies, series etc. will help you up to your vocabulary. Attempt to learn one new word in English every day and use it in some form. Be consistent here.

Today we have apps on Mobiles as well to understand the pronunciation and correct ourselves.

Remember, learning is not easy but not impossible. Have confidence in yourself and watch your thoughts when in work. Attempt to think in English and so be able to speak in English.

Dear Arindam, The answer to your question is "immensely important". Personality development is developing your core self. When you develop, make small positive changes to your habits, that reflects in your actions and hence the response generated by the person in front of you. Dear Satish, Thank you for your question. Self Awareness is the key to your our development. This happens when one realizes that there is truly some gap in what one wants to achieve and what has been achieved so far. Personality development happens when you realize where this gap is. There are many ways to analyse this. The simplest of them is do a self SWOT (strengths, weakness, opportunity and threat) analysis. list down each of your behavioral, emotional and physical attribute. Now that you know your own gaps, either help yourself with self help activities or get a coach to help you with your areas of improvement. Being patient and positive is the key to beginning to learn. Persuasion and self motivation is the next big step. Hope these foundation step will help you to begin your journey of self discovery and awareness.
