According to Google, Hindi is the most-spoken language in India by total speakers (551,416,518). So, for the people who do not understand and speak Hindi, it is difficult to communicate with other Hindi speaking people.

So, to increase the understanding of the Hindi language, following suggestions can be implemented-

  • Talk with Hindi speaking people (Friends, Colleagues). Do not hesitate to speak wrong if you do not know, it will be corrected by them.
  • Watch Hindi movies and try to repeat the dialogues. This way, you will be able to catch the words.
  • Listen Hindi songs, it will bring your interest in the language.
  • Watch Youtube Hindi short films. For quick reference.
  • Hire a tutor for a strong knowledge. The tutor will help you not only to understand and speak but also to read and write.
  • Keep practising.

Inorder to learn any new language one must hire a tutor which is widely followed approach in most of the cases. Start with the basics of the language and try pronouncing each letter correctly by reading it loud,do make mistakes which is completely fine and acceptable. Read children story books and pre primary hindi books prescribed by different authors. You can also watch many outube tutorials. Always try to converse in the langauage with people so that you become fluent and even if you make mistakes there will be people around to correct you and inturn help you in understanding the language better.

"Is it advisable to stress on certain words when teaching? Like for example, I realized just last year that when I said the word GAS with a sibilant sound, like GASSSSSSSSSS, it caught my students' attention better." in   Tuition/Class I-V Tuition

It all depends on how well your students grab and understand that you are communicating.

"I can understand 50% but I don't know how to speak with others.." in   Language/Spoken English

First try your hands at speaking, because if you are unable to communicate properly then there is no point in putting effort in learning a language. Also try to listen to others while you are in a conversation, you definitely will gain more ideas and confidence
