"Starting from "Guru Shishya Parampara" is one of the unique attribute to learn music from the Ribhu Sanyal. This uniqueness is very rare in now a days in the music world especially in the Hindustani Classical Music. Its fortunate to learn music from the Guru like him.He understands the vocal and tonal quality of the voice, and then start the training. "Ribhu sir is one of the best teachers we have in Bangalore especially in the field of Dhrupad style of Indian classical music. He is extremely thorough, meticulous and patient in is way of teaching. He makes much difficult concepts sounds easy with makes the classes extremely interesting and productive. Most importantly he encourages his students in such a way that overcoming our challenges becomes quiet easy. He has a lot to offer and we are quiet lucky. "

"I have had thoughts of learning Dhrupad numerous times over the years, but I hadn't got an opportunity. I wasn't aware of any Dhrupad teachers who reside in Bangalore. A few months ago I fortunately discovered Ribhu Sanyal ji's profile on UrbanPro while looking for music teachers around where I live. I was elated! With my old desire rekindled, I contacted Ribhu ji and enrolled myself as his student. Ribhu comes from the great Dagarbani tradition. He has more than 20 years of Dhrupad training under the tutelage of his father and legendary artist, Ritwik Sanyal, and has received blessings from the great Dagars themselves! All his years of hard work show in his knowledge of Dhrupad and the mastery over the purity of the notes. He is very down to earth despite his pedigree and talent. He is an excellent teacher, always attentive and patient -- in the finest tradition of the Guru-Shishya parampara. I have only started recently but I am enjoying the classes and my practice thoroughly. I look forward to a long fruitful association with Ribhu ji. Learning Dhrupad is of course an arduous journey, but it is every bit rewarding. If you are in Bangalore and want to learn Dhrupad, look no further than Ribhu Sanyal. "

"What are the benefits of online Indian music classes?" in   Music/Vocal Music/Indian Vocal Music/Indian Classical Music

The only benefit of learning Indian music online is that you don't have to spend time on travelling far places. You can connect with best teachers online (if they are willing to teach you) even if they are located in a different country or cities.

"Please tell me it is possible to folllow time theory in present music education and don't u think by this theory we losses some melodious raagas also." in   Music/Vocal Music/Indian Vocal Music/Indian Classical Music

All ragas are melodious, as you say. While teaching, especially in music institutions, time theory of raga should be put aside for some time, or else one will never be able to complete the syllabus! Classes are held at a given time and a fairly good number of ragas must be taught. Performance is a different story altogether.

"What is JAATI of BAAGESHWARI Raga?" in   Music/Vocal Music/Indian Vocal Music/Indian Classical Music

According to first agreement, Re & Pa in Aroha and Pa in Avaroha are not allowed so it's Jaati is Audov-Sammpoorna. In the 2nd agreement, Re in Aroha and Pa in Avaroha are not allowed as a result group of swaras in Aroha Ma, Pa and Dha are sung so it's Jaati is Shadhav-Sammpoorna. According to 3rd agreement all seven swaras are allowed so it's Jaati is Sammpoorna. However the most popular agreements are 1st and 2nd only.

"What is JAATI of BAAGESHWARI Raga?" in   Music/Vocal Music/Indian Vocal Music/Indian Classical Music

From the subject of Jaati in Baageshwari there are disagreements due to Pancham (Pa). According to first agreement, in Aroha Re, Pa and in Avaroha Pa in not allowed so it's Jaati is Audov-Shadav. According to 2nd agreement, in Aroha Re and in Avaroha Pa are not allowed so in Avaroha Ma, Pa and Dha which are group notes in Arahoha so it's Jaati is called Shadav-Shadav and according to third agreement all the 7 swaras are used so that Jaati is called Sammpoorna. First two agreements are the most popular.
