I have been learning Bharatnatyam (Kalakshetra style) since past 10 years. I started my training in Chennai from Smt Vasundhara Thomas (Kalakshetra Foundation) and now, I'm undergoing my training under Sri Shijith Nambiar and Smt Parvathy Menon. I have performed in India as well as abroad extensively with my gurus. Recently performed as a part of the production "Under The Banyan" and toured to 13 cities in US and Canada. I have received the title of Nrityasree from Utkal Yuva Sanskrutik Sangh , Govt of Orissa.
Secured 1st position in the Global Harmony Fiesta 2010 , Bangkok , Thailand.
Secured 1st position in both Bharatnatyam and Creative dance in the Doverland Music and Dance Contest , 2011.
Secured 1st in Bharatnatyam in All India Music and Dance contest conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh, Pune.
Secured 1st and 2nd position in the Chatra Yuva Utsav , District level competition conducted by Govt of West Bengal.
Presently undergoing specialised training in Bharatnatyam and also pursuing degree in Bharatnatyam from Kalai Kaviri Universiy (Trichy).
I dedicate my life in enriching myself with more knowledge everyday and spread the joy and beauty of this lovely sacred dance form.

Apart from being a full fledged performer , I enjoy teaching a lot. It's like learning a lot everyday in a different manner. Each child is different, the way they look at the dance form is different. Their interest level is different. As a teacher my first job will be to get the student to like and love the dance form, the interest in them is thus bound to increase. I teach theory as well as take story telling classes, where I tell them stories from the sacred texts like Ramayana , Mahabharata etc, to help them get introduced a little deeper into the vast sea of Indian tradition. And the kids who learn here, absolutely love it here :) Hope you will too!
