In the year 1990 my husband was posted to Iran, and as the spoken language was Persian my neighbors asked me to teach their children English . How to speak in fluent English?

The best way to speak English fluently is to think in English , any action you do think it in English , for eg I am cooking beans , I need to cut it with a knife ,then cut onions ,put some oil in the frying pan and so on. Also listen to BBC, CNN for your accent to improve and try to mix with people... ...more
The best way to speak English fluently is to think in English , any action you do think it in English , for eg I am cooking beans , I need to cut it with a knife ,then cut onions ,put some oil in the frying pan and so on. Also listen to BBC, CNN for your accent to improve and try to mix with people who don't speak your Native Language ,so you are forced to speak in English. Also get yourself a teacher who will be able to guide you and expose you to different phrases and expressions in English.

Hello all tutors, I have recently started taking Spoken English tuitions at home. Right now I am teaching from the books of an institute which I know. Wanted to find out some good study material for one to one tuitions, something which can have a practice / self study section as well. Would be nice to hear from all you experienced tutors.
