Are applets covered on the Java certification exams?

OCJP Concepts mainly covers the main features of Java along with the Collections, Threads and etc. Applets are not part of OCJP certification exam.

I Want to Study MASTERS IN HEALTH IT (HEALTH INFORMATICS). SO BEFORE STARTING MY MASTERS STUDY, I WANT TO CLEAR MY FUNDAMENTS ABOUT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUBJECTS AS I'VE NO KNOWLEDGE AT ALL ABOUT ALL THESE IT SUBJECTS.
