Hello,
You will definitely find such crowds everywhere around you. It is not possible to accurately filter each one of them as you don't know when you may create an impact on any backbencher and change them. Keep your cool and try to make the class interesting or ask those kind of people questions so they understand your importance and do listen to the way you want them to be.

Hello, it's good to know you are a linguist. French and Malayalam, a great combination but again depends on the fact that you are a native Indian or not. If you are a native Indian with a South Indian background in general it becomes easy to learn Malayalam and then french later. However, it also depends on your personal interest to learn. If you are willing to learn, you could learn both simultaneously or one after the other. On a personal level having tried hands at both, I feel Malayalam is difficult to catch up and french is difficult to pronounce and place the words. Take small steps, be positive and you shall succeed.
