What is in it for parents/teachers?
While the children are writing the preliminary test, parents and teachers shall be engaged in a useful session on “Parental Control over usage of internet by children”. This session shall be conducted by Ms. Anindita Mishra, Cybermum from McAfee. These sessions have proven extremely useful to parents and teachers alike in the past. We urge parents/teachers to make full use of this session.
There is a social face to this event. Rotary Bangalore South East is committed to distributing 10,160 “Kannada to English” dictionaries to students of rural and semi-urban areas of Karnataka by June 30, 2014. These dictionaries are published by Rotary International District 3190 and come at a subsidized cost of Rs.100 each. Parents can participate in this noble cause by sponsoring as many dictionaries as they desire. The dictionaries shall carry an acknowledgement to this effect.
Sponsorship of dictionaries is optional.
