At the end of Cloud Hub Essentials training course, participants will learn how to:
Develop in CloudHub and Mule Studio, so that you can solve any SaaS or hybrid integration scenario

Topics Covered

Day One

On the first day, students will be introduced to CloudHub, Mule Studio, and build their first integration. They will learn how to:

*Run and test applications
*Use connectors such as Twitter
*Create endpoints for HTTP APIs
*Deploy an application to CloudHub
*Use CloudHub Insight to monitor and fix issues
*Use Mule Messages and how data is represented in Mule
*Use Mule expressions

Labs on the first day include:

*Hello World: an introduction to Mule Studio
*How to tweet "Hello World" from an HTTP API
* An integration to CloudHub deployment, and monitoring it
Day Two

The second day starts to develop more concepts around SaaS integration. First, you’ll learn how to load flat file data from an FTP site into Salesforce Accounts and Contacts. Then, you’ll learn how to do a one way synchronization between two SaaS applications.

Topics covered on the second day include:

*Configuring Salesforce
*Flat file integration with SaaS applications with DataMapper
*Handling data mapping errors
*One way SaaS to SaaS synchronizations
*Using CloudHub notifications and alerts to triage errors
* Integration with a database

Labs performed on the second day include:

*Polling an FTP site for new contacts and accounts, then loading them into Salesforce
*Synchronizing contacts between Google Contacts and Salesforce
* Configuring CloudHub notifications and alerts
Day Three

The third day of training enables students to go beyond one way synchronization of data objects using Mule Studio and shows how to do more complex synchronizations and process automation.

Topics covered on Day three Include:

Two way synchronization between SaaS applications
*How to do coordinate business processes across multiple services
*Enriching data using other applications
*Administering CloudHub accounts and QA environments

Lab Exercises on Day three Include:

*Two way synchronization of contacts between Google Contacts and Salesforce
* Enriching Salesforce account data with database information
*Building an API to provision users and send a welcome email

Integration developers who wish to understand how to use CloudHub and Mule Studio to connect applications in the cloud and on-premise

Pre-requisites


* Working knowledge of Java is preferred, familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language is required, and a couple months of on-the-job experience is recommended
*Basic understanding of data formats such as XML, CSV, JSON
*Experience with SaaS APIs such as the Salesforce API.
*Familiarity with web service concepts such as SOAP/WSDL or REST APIs
